The following documents provide guidance on routine development projects in and around natural hazards and their associated regulated areas. The guidance is for typical project design, and typical hazard or near-hazard conditions. The guidance is specific to each development type and is not universally applicable where site conditions or design intents may be more complex. In all cases, development is only permitted in a location of safe and acceptable risk. All development should be located in areas that have the lowest risk to people and property from natural hazards. Proponents should contact Conservation Sudbury to better understand how guidance may apply to their site and intended development project.
